ISKCON Medchal recently established the Bhaktivedanta Centre for Skill Development (BCSD) as a part of its rural development programme to help promote social entrepreneurship in the economically weaker sections and at the grassroot levels.
This skill development centre caters to the residents of Medchal, Dabilpur, Toopran and the surrounding villages and aims to create confident individuals who are skilled to handle self-employment as well are tertiary level employers.
Computer Training Centre
In phase one, BCSD has started computer training classes with the support of the Vedanta Foundation. With ten high-end computers and trained staff, the centre is offering free training (spanning from one month to three months) to the residents of villages in and around Medchal in the areas of MS Office, Tally, DTP and Accounting (basics).
At the successful completion of the course, the students are given a certificate from the Vedanta Foundation to help them in their future job prospects.
